Erima Community Welcomes Completion of Road Upgrade and Sealing Project

The people of Erima community proudly welcome the near completion of the road upgrade and sealing project from Mambu Field to Haus Haus Bus Stop, a major infrastructure improvement that is already transforming daily life for residents and commuters in the area.
This important project forms part of the ongoing settlements-to-suburban road improvement initiatives championed by Powes Parkop and the National Capital District Commission. The Erima community sincerely expresses its appreciation for the strong leadership and continued commitment shown by Governor Parkop toward improving living conditions in settlement communities throughout the city.
For many years, residents faced challenges caused by poor road conditions, dust, flooding, and unsafe access routes. The sealing and upgrading of this road now provides safer transportation, improved accessibility for public transport and businesses, and a cleaner environment for families, schools, and nearby communities.
The Erima community also commends the project’s focus on engaging unemployed youths during the construction process. The involvement of local young people has created temporary employment opportunities, promoted community ownership, and helped reduce law and order issues within the area. Many youths gained valuable work experience and skills while contributing positively to the development of their own community.
Community leaders believe this project will have long-term social and economic benefits for Erima and surrounding suburbs by improving connectivity, encouraging small business activities, and supporting safer movement for school children, market vendors, and residents.
The Erima community extends its heartfelt gratitude to Governor Powes Parkop, project contractors, community leaders, and all stakeholders who contributed toward making this development possible.
This road project stands as a strong example of how government investment in settlement communities can create meaningful change and bring lasting impact to the lives of ordinary people.
