BON VOYAGE OUR PAFIC FRIENDS: FIPIC SUMMIT FAREWELL DINNER

Port Moresby: The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Hon. James Marape, hosted a memorable farewell dinner at the Hilton Hotel Port Moresby, marking the conclusion of the third Forum for India and Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit. Leaders from the Pacific Islands nations, including the Prime Ministers of India and New Zealand, gathered in PNG for this important summit.

 

Prime Minister Marape set a warm and welcoming tone in his address, urging the Pacific Islands leaders to relax and enjoy the night. The atmosphere was filled with Pacific flavours, as traditional dances and songs entertained the guests throughout the evening, bringing joy and a sense of unity.

Madam Rachel Marape delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of the wives and partners of the Pacific Islands leaders, adding value and goodwill to the event.

 

NCD Governor Hon. Powes Parkop had the honour of bidding farewell to the leaders on behalf of the city. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders for attending the forum and praised Prime Minister Marape for hosting a successful summit and bilateral talks over the past two days.

Governor Parkop extended his thanks to each leader for their presence, acknowledging the discussions and the shared commitment to progress. He emphasized the warm hospitality and cultural richness of Port Moresby, inviting the leaders to cherish their time in the city and the memories they have created.

 

As the leaders prepared to depart, Governor Parkop wished them safe travels and expressed the city's eagerness to welcome them again in the future.

The farewell dinner marked the perfect conclusion to an important summit, symbolizing the mutual progress and harmony of the Pacific Islands.
