BOROKO NIGHT MARKET, A HUB FOR NIGHT LIFE

Port Moresby: The weekly night market at Boroko creates opportunity for many local Small Medium Enterprise owners to earn income by selling their products.

With the vision for a clean, safe, healthy, planned and livable city, National Capital District Commission is focused on transforming each suburb by suburb in the city.

Boroko being the pilot precinct under the transformation project, weekly night market is part of the transformation restoring night life for city residents.

Last night was the 10th night market with a huge turn up without any security issues as safety and security for our city residents is priority.

Given the free space and tents, local SMEs have used the opportunity to make money.

Apart from food, arts and crafts, meri-blouse, coffee, fresh fruit sales, we also have mini barber shop setting for haircut and also corporates onboard like Bank South Pacific with their customer service officers stationed in their booth.

There is also entertainment and movies there where city residents attending the night market can enjoy while having a bite or a cup of coffee.

The night market every Wednesday starts at 5pm and ends at 10pm.

Join us as we journey through in achieving our vision for a clean, safe, healthy, planned and livable city.

Together we can.
