CORPORATE ENTITIES AMPLIFY NCDC’S EFFORTS TO BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION IN NCD
PORT MORESBY: Coca-Cola Euro-Pacific Partners PNG (CCEP-PNG), Coca-Cola PNG, and Branis Recycling Limited have joined forces with the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) to combat plastic pollution in Port Moresby and beyond.
Launching the PET PLASTIC BOTTLE COLLECTION program allows residents to exchange one Kina per kilogram of plastic bottles, encouraging recycling and reducing plastic waste.
NCD Governor Hon Powes Parkop was happy to be present and witness such an important initiative for NCD and its residents.
This initiative is part of the World Environment Day Campaign 2023, spearheaded by NCDC; these partnerships align with the theme "Solutions to Plastic Pollution" (#BeatPlasticPollution). The citywide campaign includes 9 major events targeting schools, villages, and the city, complemented by 18 initiatives from various partners.
