Directorate: Compliance (Building Authority Branch) Grade NC.08

Role Purpose: The role of the Building Inspector - Investigation & Enforcement is to conduct inspections and investigations of buildings reported to NCDC to be illegal, unsafe and/or non-compliant with the requirements of the Building Act and Regulations and other relevant safety standards.
The position holder prepares reports and findings on investigations to the Srn Building Inspector – Investigations & Enforcement who will review and provide recommendations to the Building Board on appropriate courses of action that may include, remedial actions to rectify building defects or, in severe cases, recommendations for the condemning and demolition of buildings.
